Server Announcement
Call of Duty: Black Ops - 3 Sep 2010
Right, lets get the ball rolling on this.
You can now offically, through Gameservers, preorder dedicated servers for Black Ops, which is out in November. Having looked at their website, an 18-man ranked server based in London with no additional Teamspeak/Ventrilo server would cost around $43 (around, what, ?30?) to rent for 3 months at a time (with a 5% discount). Thats dirt cheap tbh.
INX Gaming, who we got the World at War server off, don't have the rights to take preorders yet. We could always wait to see what they come up with as and when, but ideally we'd want to get sorted with something in good time for when the game comes out. Part of the problem with the WAW server failing was that the game had already been out almost a year and MW2 was on the horizon, so hopefully having something in place right from the release of Black Ops will generate as much interest as possible.
I suppose the main question is this: who here is interested in chipping in? I'll happily sort out the pot and the payments like I did with the WAW server but if anyone else has any other suggestions im open to them. Even 5 or 6 people contributing would take the individual costs down significantly.
So, thoughts?
